We brought our family here for dinner and we really had a good time. The first time we came I ordered a steak salad and the jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, they are called rattlesnake eggs, and oh my gosh they are so hot but so delicious. My daughter enjoyed her hot dog we loved the fruit cobbler!! We also love the ambience of the ties hanging in the room and it was so funny to watch peoples ties get cut off. The second time we came, it was kind of an off experience. I do not recommend getting the hamburgers. My hamburger did not taste that great and the bun was overcooked so I would stick to the salads and steak or the rattlesnake eggs because those are good. The service is inconsistent. First visit our sever was friendly and very attentive, second time our server disappeared and my FIL had to find him to get help and again to get our check. That won't stop us from coming back, we plan on bringing more friends here and enjoying more on the menu but to also wear ties to get the experience! I will update my review with more photos as we continue to come.

Fantastic steakhouse! The servers are always very friendly, the service is always top-notch, the food (especially the steak) is always delicious, & the atmosphere is fun. We live in NV, but every time we visit AZ, we make sure to stop here for dinner at least once. *** wear a tie so they can cut it off & hang it up in the rafters, it's big fun!

One of the best meals out my family has had in a long time. We had a party of 6 and every single one of us enjoyed our meals. I had the Cowgirl steak and it was amazing. Two of our party got the Ribeye and the loved it. Even though the steaks are good I could literally come here and eat just a salad and beans. They are simple but simply the best. The same salad and beans I have been having since visiting as a little girl.

It is hard to believe but it has been over 10 years since we have gone to PP. One of our son's family from out of state was visiting us and they wanted to go there to let our grandson experience the "cutting off tie" tradition which we had done with our other grandchildren over the years. I didn't look forward to the meal since our experiences there have been on a steady down hill trend. Happily this time, all our steaks came out cooked as ordered and tasty like in the "old days." The sides were about the same, OK but not great. Our server, Billy the Kid, was excellent. He added to our overall experience. Our grandson, as in our previous tie cutting experiences, was absolutely shocked when his tie got cut. As it should be! We went away happy and will return.

Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse is a Tucson iconic restaurant. It opened in 1961, was tragically burned down, and was rebuilt. So it's been open for over 60 years . The restaurant serves Western style steaks and barbecue all open pit with Mesquite wood charcoal. They try to create a fun family atmosphere with lots of influence of the old West.. They're located within "the trail dust town" compound -shopping mall. Which has its own history back to when Tucson was the town of maybe 45, 000 the 50s. It was an early western themed area, including gun fights  and a kid's train and a couple of kids' rides.. The restaurant is anchor of the "Trail Dust Town" The "town" also includes a more recent addition but iconic breakfast area "Millies Pancake House" This restaurant has its own unique Tuscan history from 1981. It fits into  "Trail Dust Town" very well.. Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse started back in the day when people dressed up for dinner. They became famous for their  "No Ties Allowed" policy and have always been a part of the Pinnacle Peak fun. Even though ties are not broadly worn these days. They're still a local tradition to bring young people in and have a tie cut off.. Hundreds of ties are proudly displayed all over the ceiling. One of  my fellow diners had a tie cut off when he was in high school, and he's over fifty. He told me his grandfather and dad also did. Restaurants and bars are also about expectations. What type of bar and restaurant are you going to? Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. I also always overtip The restaurant itself has a classic type vibe, with lots of Western kitch.  It's very family friendly. My group included four  adults and five children. They have a great plate sharing option, which works well with children who are a little older or people who don't have a huge appetite.. Basically, you can share the main dish and have a reasonable upcharge, and get an extra salad and a baked potato together with the shared plate. They also have a kids menu, which has lots of good choices.  It's a busy place and that's because it has great food and a nice atmosphere. They also have a very Western theme bar called " the silver dollar saloon".... They have mixed drinks, a pretty good wine list, and lots of local beers... I sat at the bar as a single person, waiting for everyone to show up and was given prompt attention.  The meals were all generous, so sharing was easy.  We had "the cowboy" the Cowgirl " and "the kids cowboy" all of which were different sized Mesquite grilled Tbone steaks. Everyone's salad and baked beans,  bread, and potatoes were fine. I  would absolutely recommend the restaurant again. Also include time for the family to wander around and explore " Trail Dust Town "

Was visiting from SoCal and this was a highly recommended spot to visit! I love that they stay true to what they love serving and the whole ambiance has not changed -- a nostalgic factor for locals and tourist like me. The ties on the ceiling was amusing and the service was very friendly. The BBQ was fall off the bone and while it may fave needed a bit more flavor it was definitely a huge portion. I loved the beans that came with it! We had a decently large party and all our orders came together and not one mistake which was really impressive

So many steak houses in Tucson but not to many that have great steaks, entertainment, and that old western feeling. The t-bones here do not fail you and they have the best tasting ranch dressing for your salad which comes with your meal along with bread and cowboy beans. There are rides for the little ones, shops to visit, and old fashion gun shows. No ties allowed here!!
